We need threads for discussion on these group sites. Anyways, what was your favorite Star Trek Movie?

Mine was Star Trek: First Contact. This was The Next Generation at it's finest. We got to see history of the Star Trek Universe, we saw one helluva Borg story, we got a helluva Time Travel Story, and we saw significant character development. The special effects were awesome (The 1st REAL improvement I had seen in Star Trek effects since TNG the show debuted). And that was all in one movie!

Who were the best Villains (Khan, Borg Queen, Seska, Romulans, Borg, Klingons, Dominion, Kazon, Lore, Moriarty, etc.)

Personally, I thought it was the Klingons. An entire race that lives by the sword is a scary thought. Yeah, the Borg are more powerful, and the Romulans more deceptive, but Klingons will never yield until they are all dead. Because they crave victory, and do not fear death.

What's your favorite Starship (I mean like which actual ship is the coolest, not what was the coolest show)?

I thought the Starship Voyager looked awesome! It was cool how the Warp Nacelles would retreat towards the body of the ship when it went into Warp. It also have a very "futuristic", sleek design.

We need some discussion around here! So let's get this started:
What is your favorite Star Trek Series/Crew? The Original Series, Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager, New Frontier, or Enterprise?
Mine is definetly The Next Generation. That series was Star Trek perfection. It took all the good parts of the Original Series, and improved everything else that was bad about it. The characters are perfect, I mean even non-Trekkers know who Captain Picard, Geordi, Data, and Worf are, that's saying something.

Space... the Final Frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its five-year mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before.

ST TNG Novel: Greater Than the Sum (Cont.)

The discovery of a system-wide slipstream that could
enable the Einstein to reach the Collective, or
worse, give the Borg the ability of instantaneous
transportation, convinces Starfleet to send the
Enterprise to stop the Einstein once and for all.
Although it's only one ship, the Borg have evolved
and are more determined than ever to make Earth, and
the Federation, theirs.

Star Trek TNG Novel: Greater Than the Sum

Releasing in Aug 2008. By Christopher L. Bennet

Believing that the destruction of the Borg controlled
ship Einstein will wipe out the Borg forever,
Starfleet Command sends out the Enterprise - only to
discover how very wrong that decision is....

One lone ship, the former science vessel Einstein,
has been taken over by the Borg. Cut off from the
rest of the Collective, if the ship can be found and
destroyed, the Federation could rest easy.

Star Trek Destiny Novels

Star Trek: Destiny will be a trilogy of novels by
David Mack released late in 2008. The series will be
a crossover featuring elements from Star Trek: The
Next Generation, Star Trek: Titan, Star Trek: Deep
Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager and "elements from
Trek’s past, coming together in an ambitious tale
that will shape the future of the Star Trek
universe".

Author David Mack has confirmed that the crew of the
USS Excalibur from Star Trek: New Frontier will "be
name-dropped" in the story as well. They won't appear
in the trilogy per se,

as he doesn't want to do anything that might conflict
with the continuity of Peter David's possible future
work on that series.

The trilogy will be set in February of 2381,
following the events of the TNG novel: Greater Than
the Sum. [1]
