Alright, last one for now (get talking people!). Who is your favorite villain/villainess?

Mine is Venom. I was just at the right age when he was coming out and getting popular. He had this awesome visual image, and he was a big part of the modern Spider-Man mythos. And at the time, Spider-Man was the hottest comic going. Todd Mcfarlane and David Michelline made sure of that. I loved that he was such a huge threat too, since he knew all of Peter's secrets, and had all of his powers but even stronger. It made those early Venom stories that much more intense.

What kind of books do you read? What companies do you like (Marvel, DC, Image, Dark Horse, or Independents?)

I mostly read Super-Hero books and pretty much stick to DC and Marvel. Some of my favorites: Mighty Avegers, Ghost Rider, Pre-BND Spider-Man, Venom, JLA, JSA, Green Lantern, Ultimates, Ultimate Fantastic Four. I sometimes veer into Science Fiction comics, but I mostly watch movies and read novels to feed that need. I also buy comic tie-ins that tie into other stuff I like such as Halo, Resident Evil, Star Trek, etc.

Well, Doctor Who is my wife's favourite - I can tell you that! Plus given there's been about 10 different ones so far - she even has room to debate the finer points of each!! Haha

We need some discussion in here. Who is your favorite hero/heroine? What's your top book?
My favorite is hands-down Green Lantern-Kyle Rayner. He's who I grew up with, I didn't have Hal, Hal was Parallax, and personally I thought Parallax was a helluva villain. Needless to say, my favorite book is also Green Lantern. And yeah, I'm picking up the Hal issues now that he's the star again.

Just letting anyone know who happens to be cruising through here that I'm interested in trading. If anyone's interested you can see what I want from my want list. I have a lot more comics that are on my collection list. I have a ton of X-Men (Uncanny, Self-Titled, and One-Shots & Minis) and other X-Titles from the 90s that I'm willing to let go of. I have a lot of other DC and Marvel Titles from the 80s and 90s, and early Image.

DC's Final Crisis (pt. 3)

Morrison is also known for his meta-fiction, so some
theorize Final Crisis will entail the characters of
the DCU learning they are actually fictional
characters, much like he did in his Animal Man run in
the late eighties.
Whether Final Crisis will be a big throw down or a
metaphysical debate, fans and detractors of the DCU
are waiting on the edge of their seats for the first
issue to arrive in May 2008

DC's Final Crisis (pt. 2)

Considering both characters figure prominently in the
lead-up series Countdown to Final Crisis it's a lock
that they will both be involved in some fashion.
Finally, the teaser poster released by DC when they
announced Final Crisis show the Justice League
members in old costume designs with the caption
"Heroes die... Legends Live Forever" making many fans
speculate that Final Crisis will be about the
destruction of the modern DCU and a return of the
original Silver Age Earth 1.

DC's Final Crisis

In interviews Morrison calls Final Crisis "the Lord
of the Rings of the DCU," implying an epic and
all-encompassing jaunt through years of continuity.
The series will also span time, as Morrison has said
that the series begins with Anthro, the first boy and
ends with Kamandi, the last boy. At the end of Jeph
Loeb's run on Superman/Batman near the beginning of
Infinite Crisis Mr. Mxyzptlk and Darkseid are seen
walking off together talking about a team-up between
Jack Kirby's Forth World and Mxy's Fifth Dimension.
